Welcome to Globbiz. Because Globbiz is a B2B marketplace platform and not a direct supplier or freight forwarder, Globbiz does not handle inventory, pack orders, or ship products directly.
All shipping arrangements, logistics, freight costs, and customs clearances are negotiated and handled directly between the Buyer and the Supplier.
1. Supplier-Managed Shipping
Every verified supplier on Globbiz operates their own logistics and shipping networks. When sourcing products, buyers must coordinate shipping methods directly with the supplier. Common B2B shipping terms (Incoterms) used on our platform include:
- EXW (Ex Works): The buyer is responsible for arranging pickup from the supplier’s factory or warehouse.
- FOB (Free on Board): The supplier handles domestic transport to the port, and the buyer assumes responsibility from there.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): The supplier arranges transport and basic insurance to the buyer's destination port.
Please review your Proforma Invoice (PI) or purchase contract carefully to confirm which shipping terms you and your supplier have agreed upon.
2. Shipping Timelines & Tracking
- Production Times: Since Globbiz focuses on bulk direct sourcing, production lead times vary depending on the supplier and order size.
- Tracking Orders: Because Globbiz does not ship the goods, we do not provide direct tracking numbers. You must request tracking information, bills of lading (B/L), or airway bills directly from your supplier or your chosen freight forwarder.
- Delays: Globbiz is not liable for shipping delays, customs hold-ups, or logistical issues.
3. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
For international trade, buyers are typically responsible for all import duties, taxes, tariffs, and customs clearance fees in their destination country. We highly recommend clarifying customs documentation requirements with your supplier before the cargo departs.
4. Shipping Disputes and Damaged Goods
- Any issues regarding goods damaged during transit, lost shipments, or incorrect delivery quantities must be resolved directly with the supplier or the shipping carrier.
- To protect your business, we strongly advise purchasing comprehensive cargo insurance for high-value bulk shipments.
